What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

  • Depression or mental health disorders

  • Diabetes or high blood sugar

  • High or low blood pressure

  • Liver disease

  • Epilepsy or seizure disorders

  • Autoimmune diseases

  • Use of any sedatives, tranquilizers, or CNS depressants

  • If you smoke or use alcohol regularly

  • An unusual or allergic reaction to melatonin, other supplements, foods, dyes, or preservatives

  • Pregnant or trying to get pregnant

  • Breast-feeding


How should I use this medicine?

Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water. It is usually taken 30 minutes to 1 hour before bedtime. Follow the directions on the package or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take more than directed.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.


What if I miss a dose?
