What is this medicine?
ESCITALOPRAM (present in Lexaheal 20 mg) is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). This medicine is used to treat depression, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), social anxiety disorder, and other related mood disorders. It works by increasing the levels of serotonin in the brain, which helps improve mood, energy level, and feelings of well-being.
What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?
They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

How should I use this medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water. It is usually taken once daily, with or without food. Take your medicine at the same time each day.
Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Do not suddenly stop taking this medicine unless directed by your doctor, as it may cause withdrawal symptoms.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
What if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take only your next scheduled dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
What may interact with this medicine?

You may experience drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. Do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that requires mental alertness until you know how this medicine affects you.
Avoid alcohol while using this medicine as it may increase drowsiness and side effects.
Do not stop taking escitalopram suddenly. Your doctor will guide you in reducing the dose gradually to prevent withdrawal effects like irritability, mood swings, agitation, dizziness, or sleep disturbances.
