DTM-90 SR contains Diclofenac Sodium, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by reducing substances in the body that cause pain, fever, and inflammation.


What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

  • Asthma or other breathing problems

  • Heart disease, high blood pressure, or history of heart attack or stroke

  • Liver or kidney disease

  • Stomach ulcers, bleeding disorders, or history of gastrointestinal bleeding

  • Smoking or heavy alcohol use

  • Retention of fluid or swelling

  • Allergic reactions to NSAIDs (like ibuprofen, naproxen, aspirin)

  • Anemia or other blood disorders

  • If you are taking anticoagulants (blood thinners)

  • An unusual or allergic reaction to diclofenac, other NSAIDs, aspirin, or other medications

  • Pregnant or trying to get pregnant

  • Breast-feeding


How should I use this medicine?

Take this medicine by mouth with a full glass of water. It is usually taken once daily, preferably after food to minimize stomach upset. Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew the sustained-release tablet.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.


What if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.


What may interact with this medicine?

  • Aspirin and other NSAIDs

  • Anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin)

  • Vomit that looks like coffee grounds

  • Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)

  • Unexplained weight gain or swelling

  • Vision changes

  • Fatigue, nausea, or dark urine (signs of liver issues)

  • Nausea
