What is this medicine?
FINREST (Finasteride 5 mg) is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. This medicine is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition in men where the prostate gland is enlarged, which can cause difficulty with urination. Finasteride works by lowering levels of a natural hormone (DHT), thereby shrinking the prostate and relieving symptoms such as difficulty in starting urination, weak stream, and frequent urination, especially at night.

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

How should I use this medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water. Take your doses at regular intervals. You may take it with or without food. Do not crush or chew the tablet.

Do not stop taking this medicine without talking to your doctor, even if you feel better.

It may take 6 months or more to notice full benefit.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
What if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
What may interact with this medicine?
There are no major drug interactions, but always inform your doctor if you are taking:
