What is this medicine?
TAMSUFINE 0.4 mg Tablet contains Tamsulosin, which belongs to a class of drugs called alpha-blockers. It is used in men to treat the symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia – BPH). It works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and the bladder neck, making it easier to urinate and reducing symptoms such as difficulty in starting urination, weak stream, and the need to urinate frequently or urgently.

This medication is not for use in women or children.
How should I use this medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth with a full glass of water. It is usually taken once daily, about 30 minutes after the same meal each day (typically after breakfast). Swallow the capsule whole, do not crush, chew, or open it.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room immediately.
What if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take only the next scheduled dose. Do not take two doses at once.
If you miss taking the medicine for several days, consult your doctor before restarting. You may need to restart at a lower dose.
