What is this medicine?
PROSCARE (Finasteride 5 mg) is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor. This medicine is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), also known as an enlarged prostate. It helps improve urinary flow, reduces the need for surgery, and may lower the risk of acute urinary retention.
