What is this medicine?
BIOVAS 80 mg contains Atorvastatin, which belongs to a group of medicines called statins. This medicine is used to lower high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood. It also helps reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and related heart problems in people who have risk factors such as diabetes, high blood pressure, or a family history of cardiovascular disease.
What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?
They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

How should I use this medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water, once daily, preferably at the same time each day. It can be taken with or without food.
Do not take more than directed. Continue taking it even if you feel well, as it may take weeks for your cholesterol levels to improve.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
What if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
