AMLOHEAL contains Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker. This medicine is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and chest pain (angina). Lowering blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. Amlodipine works by relaxing blood vessels so blood can flow more easily.

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

  • Heart disease or heart failure

  • Liver disease

  • Low blood pressure

  • History of swelling in hands, legs, or feet while using similar drugs

  • An unusual or allergic reaction to amlodipine or other medications

  • Pregnant or trying to get pregnant

How should I use this medicine?

Take this medicine by mouth, with or without food, at the same time each day.
Swallow the tablet with a glass of water.
Do not take your medicine more often than directed.
Do not stop taking this medicine without talking to your doctor, even if you feel well.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.


What if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can.
If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.


What may interact with this medicine?

  • Simvastatin (high doses)

  • Grapefruit juice (may increase the effect of the drug)

  • Antifungals like itraconazole, ketoconazole

  • HIV protease inhibitors like ritonavir

  • Seizure medications like carbamazepine or phenytoin
