What is this medicine?
CONCEIVE HCG 10000 IU contains Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), a hormone that supports the normal development of an egg in a woman’s ovary and stimulates the release of the egg during ovulation. It is used to treat infertility in women and to increase sperm count in men. It may also be used in boys with delayed puberty due to pituitary gland disorders.


What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?
They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

  • Asthma

  • Heart disease

  • Kidney disease

  • Migraine headaches

  • Epilepsy or seizures

  • Ovarian cyst or ovarian cancer

  • Thyroid or adrenal gland disorders

  • Undiagnosed vaginal bleeding

  • Prostate cancer or other androgen-dependent tumors (in males)

  • An unusual or allergic reaction to HCG, other hormones, medications, foods, dyes, or preservatives

  • Pregnant (already)

  • Breast-feeding


How should I use this medicine?
This medicine is usually given as an intramuscular (IM) or subcutaneous (SC) injection by a healthcare provider. In some cases, your doctor may instruct you or a caregiver on how to administer it at home.

Women should be monitored for Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS), especially during the first cycle of therapy. Symptoms of OHSS include sudden weight gain, pelvic pain, nausea, vomiting, and shortness of breath.

You may also undergo regular ultrasound examinations and hormone level tests to monitor the treatment.

Men using this medicine should be regularly evaluated for sperm count and testosterone levels.

Avoid strenuous activity or heavy exercise while taking this medicine to reduce the risk of OHSS.

Do not use this medicine if you are already pregnant.


What side effects may I notice from this medicine?

Side effects that you should report to your doctor or health care professional as soon as possible:

  • Signs of allergic reaction like rash, itching, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue

  • Severe pelvic or abdominal pain

  • Shortness of breath

  • Nausea and vomiting

  • Swelling of hands or legs

  • Sudden weight gain

  • Difficulty breathing or urinating

  • Pain or swelling at the injection site

Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report if they continue or are bothersome):

  • Mild pain, redness, or swelling at the injection site

  • Headache

  • Irritability or restlessness

  • Fatigue

  • Breast tenderness in women

  • Water retention or bloating
