What is this medicine?
DUTAHEAL 0.5 mg contains Dutasteride, which belongs to a class of drugs called 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. This medicine is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition in men where the prostate gland becomes enlarged, leading to difficulty in urination. Dutasteride works by lowering the production of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that causes prostate enlargement. It helps relieve symptoms such as frequent or difficult urination and may reduce the need for prostate surgery.

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

Prostate cancer or a history of prostate problems

Urinary tract infections or obstruction
-
If you have undergone urinary surgery
-
An unusual or allergic reaction to dutasteride, finasteride, or other medications

-
If your partner is or may become pregnant (drug can be absorbed through skin)
