What is this medicine?
DUTASTERIDE, the active ingredient in DUTANOL 0.5 mg, is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor. This medicine is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), also known as an enlarged prostate, in adult men. It helps improve urinary flow, reduce the need for prostate surgery, and lower the risk of acute urinary retention by shrinking the prostate gland.
