What is this medicine?
ERAVONE (Edaravone) is a medication that acts as a free radical scavenger (antioxidant). It is used in the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. It helps slow down the decline in physical function in ALS patients. In some cases, it may also be used for acute ischemic stroke, to help reduce brain damage due to lack of oxygen.
