What is this medicine?
ESZOP contains Eszopiclone, a non-benzodiazepine hypnotic (commonly called a “Z-drug”). This medicine is used to treat insomnia (difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep). It helps improve sleep onset and duration by acting on the brain to produce a calming effect.

How should I use this medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth, usually once at bedtime. Take it right before going to bed as it works quickly. Do not take it with or immediately after a high-fat meal, as this may delay its onset of action.
Take your doses at regular intervals. Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Do not take it unless you have time for a full night’s sleep (at least 7–8 hours).
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
What if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose and are still unable to sleep, take it only if you can remain in bed for a full night (7–8 hours) before being active again. If it is close to waking time, skip the dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
