What is this medicine?
ESZOPINAP (eszopiclone) is a non-benzodiazepine hypnotic agent used to treat insomnia. It helps you fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer by acting on the brain to produce a calming effect.
What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?
They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

How should I use this medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth with a full glass of water. It is usually taken right before bedtime. Do not take it with or right after a high-fat or heavy meal, as it may not work as well. Only take this medicine when you are able to get a full night’s sleep (7–8 hours).
Do not take more than directed. Do not take more often than prescribed.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
What if I miss a dose?
Since this medicine is taken at bedtime as needed, missing a dose is not likely. Do not take it if you do not have time for a full night’s sleep. Do not take double or extra doses.
What may interact with this medicine?

Do not drive, operate machinery, or perform other potentially dangerous tasks until you know how this medicine affects you.
This drug may cause dependency or withdrawal symptoms. Use exactly as prescribed and do not stop suddenly without medical advice.
