What is this medicine?
GABATOP 300 mg contains Gabapentin, an anticonvulsant. This medicine is used to:

Treat nerve pain caused by conditions like shingles (postherpetic neuralgia) and diabetic neuropathy

Manage partial seizures in epilepsy (alone or in combination with other medicines)

It may also be used off-label for fibromyalgia, restless leg syndrome, or generalized anxiety disorder

How should I use this medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water. You may take it with or without food.
Take at regular intervals as prescribed. Do not take more than directed. Do not stop taking Gabatop suddenly, especially if using it for seizures. Your doctor will reduce the dose gradually to avoid withdrawal or seizure flare-ups.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much, contact a poison control center or emergency room immediately.
What if I miss a dose?
Take the missed dose as soon as possible.
If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take double or extra doses.
What may interact with this medicine?

Antacids with magnesium or aluminum (take Gabatop at least 2 hours after these)

Opioids (e.g., morphine) – may enhance gabapentin’s effect
