HYDROXYZINE is an antihistamine. This medicine is used to treat allergy symptoms, such as itching, runny nose, and hives. It is also used to treat anxiety, tension, and may be used as a sedative before or after anesthesia. It can help control nausea and vomiting, and in some cases, it’s used to treat alcohol withdrawal symptoms.

How should I use this medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water. You may take it with or without food. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Do not take more often than directed.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
What if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
