ISPER PLUS Tablet is a combination medication that contains Trifluoperazine (an antipsychotic) and Trihexyphenidyl (an anticholinergic).
This medicine is primarily used to treat schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. Trifluoperazine helps control symptoms such as hallucinations or delusions, while Trihexyphenidyl helps reduce side effects like stiffness, tremors, and restlessness caused by the antipsychotic.


What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

  • glaucoma

  • urinary retention or prostate problems

  • liver disease

  • kidney disease

  • heart disease or recent heart attack

  • seizure disorder (epilepsy)

  • bowel obstruction or severe constipation

  • myasthenia gravis

  • history of blood disorders

  • an unusual or allergic reaction to trifluoperazine, trihexyphenidyl, phenothiazines, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives

  • pregnant or trying to get pregnant

  • breast-feeding


How should I use this medicine?

Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water. It may be taken with or without food. Take it at the same time each day.

Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Do not suddenly stop taking this medicine unless told by your doctor, as this may cause withdrawal symptoms or worsen your condition.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.


What if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take double or extra doses.


What may interact with this medicine?

  • alcohol

  • antacids (may reduce effectiveness if taken at the same time)

  • other anticholinergic drugs

  • vision changes or eye pain (possible sign of glaucoma)

  • difficulty urinating

  • dry mouth

  • blurred vision

  • constipation

  • dizziness
