IVERHUMAN (ivermectin) 3 mg is an antiparasitic agent. It is used to treat infections caused by certain parasites such as strongyloidiasis (intestinal threadworm), onchocerciasis (river blindness), scabies, and lice. It may also be prescribed for other parasitic infections as determined by your healthcare provider.


What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

  • asthma or breathing problems

  • immune system disorders (like HIV/AIDS)

  • liver disease

  • seizure disorders or history of seizures

  • Loa loa infection (African eye worm)

  • weak immune system

  • an unusual or allergic reaction to ivermectin, other antiparasitics, foods, dyes, or preservatives

  • pregnant or trying to get pregnant

  • breast-feeding


How should I use this medicine?

Take this medicine by mouth with a full glass of water, preferably on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal). Follow the instructions provided by your doctor.

  • Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your healthcare provider.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
