What should I watch for while using this medicine?

Visit your doctor or health care professional for regular check-ups. Long-term use of corticosteroids may cause your body to make less of its own natural steroids. Carry an ID card stating you take this medicine, especially if you are in an accident or need emergency care.

Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly; tapering off is necessary to avoid serious side effects.

This medicine may cause you to retain salt and lose potassium. Follow your doctor’s dietary recommendations.

Avoid alcohol while using this medicine, as it may increase the risk of stomach ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding.

Tell your doctor if you notice mood changes or symptoms of depression or anxiety.
