What is this medicine?
KAYMOXX-CV 625mg is a combination antibiotic containing Amoxicillin (a penicillin-type antibiotic) and Clavulanic Acid (a beta-lactamase inhibitor). This medicine is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, and dental infections. The Clavulanic Acid helps prevent certain bacteria from becoming resistant to Amoxicillin.

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

mononucleosis (also called “mono” or glandular fever)

phenylketonuria (PKU, a rare genetic disorder)

a history of allergic reactions to penicillin, cephalosporins, or other antibiotics

an unusual or allergic reaction to amoxicillin, clavulanic acid, penicillins, cephalosporins, or any other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives

if you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant

if you are breast-feeding
How should I use this medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water. It is best taken at the start of a meal to reduce stomach upset and enhance absorption. Follow the dosing schedule exactly. Do not skip doses or stop the medicine early, even if you feel better.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room right away.

What if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
