What is this medicine?
KAYMOXX – CV 1000 mg tablet is a combination of amoxicillin (a penicillin-type antibiotic) and clavulanic acid (a beta-lactamase inhibitor). It’s used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections, such as respiratory tract infections (like pneumonia, sinusitis), ear/nose/throat infections (including tonsillitis, otitis media), urinary tract infections, skin and soft-tissue infections, bone and joint infections, and others.
What should I tell my healthcare provider before I take this medicine?
Tell your provider if you have any of the following:

Allergy to penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics

Liver disease, hepatitis, or history of jaundice after previous use

Kidney disease or you’re on dialysis

Mono (infectious mononucleosis)—can trigger skin rash

All other medications, including OTC drugs, vitamins, herbs

If you smoke, drink alcohol, or use recreational drugs
How should I use this medicine?

Take by mouth with food or within 30 minutes of a meal, to reduce stomach upset .

Swallow whole, do not crush, chew, or break.

Complete the full course prescribed by your doctor—do not stop early, even if you feel better .

Store tablets at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Discard unused medication after expiration .

Overdose: Rare but seek emergency care or poison center support.
What if I miss a dose?

Take it as soon as you remember, unless it’s almost time for the next scheduled dose.

Skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule.

Do NOT double-dose.
