What is this medicine?
KOLCHISMART 0.5 MG contains Colchicine, which is used to treat and prevent gout attacks (a type of arthritis caused by too much uric acid in the blood). It works by reducing inflammation and decreasing the build-up of uric acid crystals in joints. It may also be used to treat familial Mediterranean fever (FMF), a genetic inflammatory disorder.

How should I use this medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth with a full glass of water. It can be taken with or without food to reduce stomach upset. Follow the directions on your prescription label exactly. Do not take more often than prescribed.
Overdosage: Colchicine overdose can be fatal. If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, seek emergency medical help immediately.
What if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
