What is this medicine?
LIPVAS contains Atorvastatin, which is a statin (HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor). This medicine is used to lower “bad” cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides, while increasing “good” cholesterol (HDL) in the blood. It helps reduce the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and other cardiovascular complications in patients with or at risk for heart disease.

How should I use this medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water. You can take it with or without food, at the same time each day.
Take your doses at regular intervals. Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Do not stop taking this medicine unless advised by your doctor or health care professional.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
What if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
