What is this medicine?
MEBENTEL (mebendazole) is an anti-parasitic medicine. It is used to treat infections caused by worms such as pinworms, roundworms, whipworms, and hookworms. It works by preventing the worms from absorbing sugars, thereby killing them.
What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?
They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

How should I use this medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth. Swallow it with a glass of water. You may take it with or without food. Chewable tablets should be chewed before swallowing or crushed and mixed with food. Follow the directions on your prescription label.
Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Take the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room right away.
What if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take double or extra doses.
