What is this medicine?
MIRAOAB 50 ER contains Mirabegron, a beta-3 adrenergic agonist. This medicine is used to treat overactive bladder (OAB) with symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, and urge incontinence (leakage of urine). It works by relaxing the bladder muscle, allowing it to store urine more effectively.
What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?
They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

Bladder outlet obstruction or difficulty emptying the bladder

How should I use this medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water.
Swallow the extended-release tablet whole. Do not crush, split, or chew the tablet.
Take it once daily, with or without food, at the same time each day.
Do not take more than prescribed. Do not stop taking without your doctor’s advice.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room immediately.
What if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember.
If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose.
Do not take double or extra doses.
What may interact with this medicine?

What should I watch for while using this medicine?

Monitor your blood pressure regularly, especially if you have a history of high BP.

Inform your doctor if you develop difficulty urinating or if you are unable to empty your bladder completely.

It may take up to 8 weeks to notice improvement in symptoms. Continue taking the medicine as directed.

Women should inform their doctor if they are pregnant or planning pregnancy. Mirabegron should only be used during pregnancy if clearly needed.

Inform your healthcare provider before having any urine tests, as mirabegron may interfere with certain laboratory results.
