What is this medicine?
PIROX DT contains Piroxicam, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). This medicine is used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and other musculoskeletal disorders. It works by blocking the production of substances (prostaglandins) that cause pain, fever, and inflammation.

How should I use this medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth. Disperse the tablet in a spoonful of water before taking, or as directed by your doctor. It can be taken with or after food to reduce stomach irritation.
Take your doses at regular intervals. Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Do not stop taking this medicine without your doctor’s approval.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room right away.
What if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your regular schedule. Do not take double or extra doses.
