What is this medicine?
PLAROS 10 mg contains Rosuvastatin, which is a statin (HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor). This medicine is used to lower LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides, and to raise HDL (good cholesterol). It helps reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular complications, especially in patients with high cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure, or family history of heart disease.
What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?
They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

How should I use this medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water. You can take it with or without food, usually once daily at the same time.
Take only the dose prescribed. Do not stop taking this medicine unless advised by your doctor.
Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.
What if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
What may interact with this medicine?

Watch for unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness—especially if accompanied by fever or fatigue. This could be a sign of a rare but serious muscle condition (rhabdomyolysis).

Avoid excessive alcohol, which may increase the risk of liver problems.

Do not use this medicine during pregnancy or breastfeeding—it can harm the baby.

Follow a heart-healthy diet and exercise plan as recommended by your doctor.

If you develop signs of liver problems (e.g., yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, or fatigue), notify your provider right away.

Antacids should be taken 2 hours after rosuvastatin to avoid reducing its absorption.
