  • Dehydration

  • An unusual or allergic reaction to calcitriol, other vitamin D products, or other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives

  • Pregnant or trying to get pregnant

How should I use this medicine?

Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water, exactly as directed by your doctor. It may be taken with or without food, but should be taken at the same time each day.

Do not take your medicine more often than prescribed. Do not stop taking this medicine unless instructed by your doctor.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room right away.


What if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
