What is this medicine?
SHYTOMEL (Liothyronine Sodium) is a synthetic form of the thyroid hormone triiodothyronine (T3). It is used to treat hypothyroidism (an underactive thyroid), certain types of goiters, and as part of diagnostic tests for thyroid function.
