What is this medicine?
SKROLYS (Mycophenolate Sodium 500 mg) is an immunosuppressant. It is used to prevent organ rejection in patients who have received kidney, heart, or liver transplants. It works by weakening the body’s immune system to prevent it from attacking the transplanted organ.
What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?
They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

active or chronic infections (e.g., hepatitis B/C, tuberculosis)

digestive problems such as ulcers or inflammatory bowel disease

rare genetic deficiency of hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyl-transferase (HGPRT)

kidney or liver disease

low blood cell counts (anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia)

any recent or upcoming vaccinations

previous allergic reaction to mycophenolate, mycophenolic acid, or similar drugs

How should I use this medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth with a full glass of water, on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals, unless otherwise directed.
Swallow the tablet whole. Do not crush or chew.
Take your doses at the same time each day, as prescribed by your doctor.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless told by your healthcare provider.
Wash hands before and after handling tablets. Avoid touching broken or crushed tablets.
Overdosage: In case of overdose, contact a poison control center or emergency room immediately.
What if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember.
If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose.
Do not take double or extra doses.
What may interact with this medicine?
