What is this medicine?

TADALISTA contains Tadalafil, a PDE5 (phosphodiesterase type 5) inhibitor. It is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It can also be prescribed to treat the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and pulmonary arterial hypertension. It works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, helping achieve and maintain an erection.

What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?

They need to know if you have any of the following conditions:

• Heart disease, chest pain (angina), or recent heart attack

• History of stroke

• Very high or very low blood pressure

• Kidney or liver disease

• Bleeding disorders

• Blood cell disorders (e.g., sickle cell anemia, leukemia, multiple myeloma)

• Eye problems such as retinitis pigmentosa or sudden vision loss

• Physical deformity of the penis (such as Peyronie’s disease)

• History of painful or prolonged erections (priapism)

• Allergy to tadalafil or any components of the medication

• Use of nitrates or nitric oxide donors

• Alcohol, tobacco, or recreational drug use

How should I use this medicine?

Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water. You may take it with or without food.

• For ED: Take 30 minutes to 1 hour before sexual activity. Effects can last up to 36 hours.

• For daily use: Take at the same time each day, as prescribed by your doctor.

Do not take more than one dose per day unless instructed.

Overdosage: In case of overdose, contact a poison control center or emergency services immediately.

What if I miss a dose?

• If taken as needed, a missed dose is not usually applicable.

• If you are on a daily regimen, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Do not take double doses.

What may interact with this medicine?

• Nitrates (for chest pain)

• Alpha-blockers (for blood pressure or prostate issues)

• Other ED medications (e.g., sildenafil, vardenafil)

• HIV protease inhibitors (e.g., ritonavir)

• Antifungal medications (e.g., ketoconazole, itraconazole)

• Certain antibiotics (e.g., erythromycin, clarithromycin)

• Grapefruit juice

• Recreational drugs (“poppers” that contain nitrates)

What should I watch for while using this medicine?

• Do not use with nitrate-containing medications or recreational drugs.

• Seek immediate help for erections lasting more than 4 hours.

• Stop and seek emergency care for chest pain, severe dizziness, or nausea during sexual activity.

• Avoid or limit alcohol—can increase the risk of side effects.

• Use caution when driving or operating machines until you know how the medicine affects you.

• Report any sudden vision or hearing loss immediately.

• Avoid taking with other PDE5 inhibitors unless specifically advised.
