What is this medicine?

TADAWIN 20 mg contains Tadalafil, which is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. This medicine is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It helps achieve and maintain an erection by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. It may also be used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and pulmonary arterial hypertension, but in lower doses than for ED.

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

Heart or blood vessel disease
History of heart attack or stroke
Chest pain (angina)
High or low blood pressure
Liver or kidney disease
Eye conditions like retinitis pigmentosa or sudden vision loss
Hearing problems or sudden decrease in hearing
Blood cell disorders (e.g., sickle cell anemia, leukemia, multiple myeloma)
Stomach ulcers or bleeding disorders
Deformity of the penis (Peyronie’s disease)
History of priapism (painful or prolonged erection)
An unusual or allergic reaction to tadalafil, other medications, foods, dyes, or preservatives
If you are taking nitrates for chest pain or recreational drugs containing nitrates
Women should not take this medication (not indicated for use in women, pregnancy, or breastfeeding)

How should I use this medicine?

Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water. It may be taken with or without food, usually 30 to 60 minutes before sexual activity. Do not take more than one dose in 24 hours.

For daily use in certain cases (e.g., BPH or frequent ED), follow your doctor’s specific instructions.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.

What if I miss a dose?

Tadawin 20 mg is usually taken as needed, not on a regular schedule. If you are on a daily regimen and miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take double or extra doses.

Nitrate medications (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide) – can cause dangerous drop in blood pressure
